Who We aRe

ABOUT ROBINWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH

We have been around for almost 70 years and a lot has changed. We currently share the Gospel in multiple languages and have worship services that include multiple ethnicities in our church building.

We are a church built on God's Word and compelled by the Great Commission to reach a diverse community. We invite you to come and see what God is doing at Robinwood!

"For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. To the Jews I became as a Jew...To those under the law I became as one under the law...To those outside the law I became as one outside the law...To the weak I became weak...I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.

1 Corinthians 9:19-23

What We Believe

The Authority and Inerrancy of Scripture:

We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter.

+ + +

The Trinity:

We believe that there is one and only one living and true God. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

+ + +

The Substitutionary Atonement of Jesus Christ:

We believe that salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer.

+ + +

The Virgin Birth, Crucifixion and Bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ:

We believe that Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature with its demands and necessities and identifying Himself completely with mankind yet without sin. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples as the person who was with them before His crucifixion.

+ + +

The Bodily, Visible Second Coming of Jesus Christ:

We believe that God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness.

We are a Southern Baptist Church that adheres to these fundamentals of the faith as well as others mentioned in the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You can expect biblical teaching and preaching, spirit-filled worship, and a welcoming atmosphere. Our church’s aim is similar to the Apostle Paul's that can be found in the book of Colossians. He sought to proclaim Jesus and bring everyone to spiritual maturity. Everything we do at Robinwood revolves around this goal that stems from the Great Commission: We seek to save those far from Jesus and teach them to obey all of Christ's commands.

Our unique services provide worship tailored to different cultural preferences in order to minister to those in our community. At 9:00AM, Trinity Love Church meets in our main sanctuary with gospel style worship and preaching. At 11AM in the main sanctuary, we have an English service that incorporates a blended style of praise music and expositional preaching.

Our Story

On June 4th, 1953 in an old garage building on the corner of Stark road and 175, Reverend Waymon Harold Evans along with his family and a few other started Roadside Baptist Church, later to become Robinwood Baptist Church. As Seagoville and southeast Dallas grew, so did Robinwood. From that small garage the church grew to include multiple buildings equipped to minister to hundreds of people. Over the last decade, the community has seen a shift as Dallas moves outward. With this shift, Robinwood has had to make a shift to focus on reaching the community for Christ. This transition has transformed Robinwood into a bilingual body. We are excited to see what God will do as we seek to reach our community as one church ministering in two languages.
